A week or so ago, I made salsa with the farmer market's first tomatos of the season. It was so fresh, and beautiful, and HOT! I think I mistook a serrano pepper for a jalapeno. Peppers are always just thrown in little baskets at the grocery store and the signs never seem to properly line up. This drives me crazy, because I like to cook with new things, so I dont always know what things look like (fennel and celeraic come to mind here).
